Sandy Rochelle – Nighttime Visions – 3

Nighttime Visions
by Sandy Rochelle

He told me not to be sad.
His Michelangelo sculptured face is with me always.
I inescapably inhabit him as he does me
Both a burden and a blessing.
We meld into the landscape
And become part of the endless land.
We are the rivers, the mountains, the lakes and the streams
The forests and the trees
Keeping company with the owl and the mockingbird
With whom we share a world
Untamed and unknown.
