Spinal Tap

Abandonment seizes through my nerves
and turns bone to vibrating brick
 
uncontrollable

and familiar salt stains the crook 
of my nose as the voices of lovers past tighten 
vines woven into my spine
and blur the rest of his words being sure 
I hear only

it's too much
