Caroliena Cabada – Untitled – Pandemic

Today’s

time and the to-do list. Trim fingernails and
dismantle capitalism.
What’s wrong with taking
this as the break we all deserve? Fingerprints
on non-touchscreen glass; pretend it’s smooth
and skin-like. Cover mouth with washed hands,
whisper a wish on the first star out the window.
Even the ones blinking warnings to low-flying
planes. Tomorrow, the list might just be
Exist, exist, exist.
